NyumbaHunt Case Study: A Nairobi Homes-for-Sale Portal Built for Search

Screenshot of nyumbahunt.co.ke (opens in a new tab), taken 2026-11-04.
NyumbaHunt helps people buy a home in Nairobi "without the runaround": apartments, townhouses, maisonettes and houses from Kilimani and Karen to Ruaka and Syokimau, shortlisted and verified before the viewing.
At a glance
- Built by: Kavenacc Digital Solutions
- Sector: Real estate (homes for sale)
- Location: Nairobi, 17 neighbourhoods
- Live site: nyumbahunt.co.ke (opens in a new tab)
The goal
Let a buyer go from "I'm looking" to a shortlist of verified homes that fit their budget, and rank on Google for the searches buyers make.
What we built
- 64 homes for sale, from about KSh 5 million to luxury
- Search by area, property type, budget and bedrooms
- Pages for 17 Nairobi neighbourhoods and five budget bands, from under KSh 5 million to over KSh 50 million
- A mortgage calculator and a three-step buying process
- SEO buyer guides, such as the real cost of buying a house in Kenya in 2026
- Buyer FAQs and WhatsApp viewing requests
Built for how buyers search
Buyers search by neighbourhood and budget, so the site has a page for each, and the guides answer the questions that come before a purchase. That brings in buyers from Google who already know what they want.
Lessons for similar businesses
- Give every area and budget band its own page.
- Publish guides that answer real buyer questions.
- Keep the next step simple: one WhatsApp message.
